Eko Hot Blog reports that Royal fathers from across southwestern Nigeria gathered in Owu-Ikosi to offer heartfelt prayers and royal counsel to Princess Olusola Adenike Ogunlari as she formally began her marital journey with Prince Abayomi Olusegun Sobodu during a grand traditional engagement ceremony.
The event, hosted by Oba Nelson Obayomi Ogunlari, brought together a distinguished assembly of monarchs who used the occasion not only to celebrate the union but also to impart wisdom rooted in culture, tradition, and experience.
Among the revered royal fathers present were Oba Kabir Adewale Shotobi, Oba Ajibade Agoro, Oba Babatunde Rafiu Balogun, Oba Ayodele Kolawole Aliru, Oba Aderibigbe Asunmo, alongside the monarchs of Noforija and Odo-Egiri, as well as other respected traditional rulers from Kwara State and beyond.
Speaking on behalf of the royal fathers, Oba Babatunde Rafiu Balogun emphasized the importance of love, patience, respect, and understanding as the foundation of a successful marriage.
“A peaceful home is built on patience, understanding, and continuous prayer. You must always honour your husband and uphold the values instilled in you,” he advised.
