EKO HOT BLOG reports that the decision comes amid renewed diplomatic engagements between Nigeria and Rwanda aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation and advancing regional integration across Africa.
President Tinubu was recently in Kigali for the Africa CEO Forum held on Thursday, where he met with Rwandan President Paul Kagame at the Urugwiro Presidential Villa.
During the bilateral meeting, both leaders discussed key areas of cooperation between the two countries, including trade, tourism, security collaboration and economic partnerships.
Tinubu had earlier hinted that Nigeria was considering reciprocating Rwanda’s visa-free policy for Nigerians as part of broader efforts to strengthen African unity and ease movement across the continent.
The President described the initiative as a step toward promoting Pan-Africanism and encouraging closer relationships among African countries.
The new visa arrangement is expected to simplify travel procedures for citizens of both nations while boosting tourism, business opportunities and diplomatic exchanges.

Analysts also believe the policy could encourage stronger regional partnerships and support ongoing efforts toward greater economic integration within Africa.
