Sources revealed that immediately after seeing the message, the wife allegedly reached for a knife and attacked her husband without confronting him or asking questions about the conversation.
The victim, who requested anonymity, sustained injuries on his neck and arm during the attack and was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment.
Speaking from his hospital bed, the man explained that the woman involved in the conversation was simply a dry cleaner who helps him wash his clothes.
According to him, the discussion was strictly business-related, as he only asked the lady to help deliver his clothes to his tailoring shop where he works.
“It was only about my clothes. She helps me wash them sometimes, and I only asked her to bring them to my shop,” he reportedly explained.
The incident has since sparked reactions among residents within the community, with many expressing concern over increasing cases of violence linked to suspicion and misunderstandings in relationships.
Police authorities were said to have arrested the woman shortly after the incident, while investigations into the matter continue.
Residents have also appealed to couples to embrace dialogue, patience, and peaceful conflict resolution instead of violence during disagreements or moments of suspicion.
