EKO HOT BLOG reports that the development was disclosed on Wednesday in Abuja by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame.
According to the statement, the precision airstrikes were carried out on May 19 at Bukar Meram in the Southern Tumbuns and Chikide in the Mandara Mountains following credible intelligence reports and surveillance operations.
Ejodame said the missions targeted major terrorist enclaves believed to be used for logistics coordination, planning and operational activities by insurgent groups operating within the region.
He explained that Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance missions confirmed the locations before the strikes were executed.
The operation reportedly destroyed terrorist logistics hubs, concealed structures and assembly points hidden within the affected areas.
Ejodame added that several terrorists were neutralised during the air offensives, while planned attacks by the insurgents were disrupted.
He stated that the Nigerian Air Force would continue sustained operations aimed at weakening terrorist capabilities and limiting their freedom of movement across conflict zones.
“The Nigerian Air Force remains resolute in sustaining ongoing air offensives to degrade terrorist capabilities and deny them freedom of action,” he said.
The NAF spokesman further disclosed that the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, reaffirmed the Air Force’s commitment to coordinated military operations with other security agencies and allied partners.
According to him, the air chief stressed that intelligence-led operations would continue in order to identify and eliminate terrorist hideouts, logistics networks and operational bases across the country.

Ejodame noted that the latest offensive forms part of broader military efforts aimed at restoring peace and stability in the North-East and other affected regions.
