According to Pedro, other areas with high crime rates include Ikorodu, Alimosho, Lagos Mainland/Yaba and Mushin.
He explained that stealing-related offences remained the most common crimes recorded in the state, accounting for 44.7 per cent of cases captured on the Lagos Criminal Information System (LCIS) within the review period.
Pedro disclosed that a total of 35,461 criminal cases had been recorded across courts in Lagos State over the last three years through the LCIS platform.
He described the LCIS as a digital platform introduced to improve criminal justice administration by enhancing efficiency, transparency and data-driven decision-making across the state’s justice system.

Meanwhile, the Lagos State Government also said it had intensified efforts to address drug abuse and youth unemployment through rehabilitation and empowerment initiatives.
Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Mobolaji Ogunlende, disclosed during the same briefing that rehabilitation centres across the state recorded 1,072 admissions, while 998 individuals were successfully reunited with their families after treatment and rehabilitation.
Ogunlende further revealed that 18 beneficiaries of the state’s digital skills programme had secured remote jobs with companies based in the United Kingdom.
In another development, the Lagos State Electricity Regulatory Commission (LASERC) has resolved the prolonged electricity crisis affecting Goshen Beach Estate in Lekki Phase I.
Residents confirmed the restoration of stable power supply after the estate was connected to the direct Jazz 38 Feeder line following the intervention of LASERC.
The residents, under the umbrella of the Goshen Beach Estate Residents Association, commended the Managing Director of LASERC, Temitope George, for ensuring that Eko Electricity Distribution Company addressed the year-long electricity challenge affecting the community.
According to the association, residents had endured severe electricity problems for about one year despite several financial contributions and efforts aimed at resolving the issue.
