Salami noted that while the pain brought tears to his eyes and altered the course of his family life forever, he prays that God forgives his late wife for the deep betrayal.
The genesis of the crisis traces back approximately five years when Salami returned from a film location to find his home empty.
At the time, his wife was nine months pregnant with their fifth child. Unable to reach her for two days, the actor eventually traced her to her mother’s residence, where he stumbled upon a shocking discovery.
His wife had already conducted a traditional introduction ceremony with another man, an individual who was already married with four children of his own.

The discovery led to a heated phone confrontation during which his wife openly challenged the paternity of the unborn child, asking Salami who told him that he was the owner of the pregnancy.
The situation escalated dramatically a few days later when she gave birth and remarkably insisted on hosting the infant’s naming ceremony at Salami’s compound.
Outraged by the audacity of the request, the actor refused and ordered the arrest of his wife, her new partner, and a friend who had come to plead on their behalf. In retaliation for his refusal, the wife initiated legal proceedings to dissolve their marriage.
It was during the subsequent courtroom sessions that she confessed under oath that both their third child and the newborn were fathered by her secret partner, with whom she had been involved for several years.
Salami revealed that she tragically succumbed to depression a year ago, following her abandonment by the Ijebu-born lover who ultimately cut ties to face his primary family, leaving the actor to pick up the pieces of the emotional fallout.
