The Epe Local Government has commenced the 2026 Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health (MNCAH) Week, reaffirming its commitment to improving access to quality healthcare and enhancing the well-being of residents across the council area.

Eko Hot Blog reports that the week-long programme, organised by the Local Government in collaboration with the Lagos State Ministry of Health and the Lagos State Primary Health Care Board, will run from Monday, July 20 to Friday, July 24, 2026, across all Primary Health Care Centres and designated temporary outreach posts in Epe.
The initiative provides a range of free healthcare services, including antenatal and postnatal care, family planning services for men and women, deworming, Vitamin A supplementation, growth monitoring, and malnutrition screening.
Speaking on the exercise, the Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. Princess Surah Olayemi Animashaun, FHTI, reaffirmed her administration’s dedication to ensuring that every resident has access to quality and affordable healthcare.
“Our administration remains committed to delivering quality healthcare services to every resident. We encourage expectant mothers, nursing mothers, parents, caregivers, adolescents, and all eligible residents to take advantage of this free health intervention for the benefit of their families and the entire community,” she said.
The Chairman noted that the health campaign forms part of the council’s broader efforts to promote preventive healthcare and improve maternal and child health outcomes across Epe.
Residents have been encouraged to visit the nearest Primary Health Care Centre or designated outreach post throughout the exercise to benefit from the free medical services.
