Motorists have been advised to avoid the Anthony Village Bus Stop service lane following the commencement of excavation and rehabilitation works on the deteriorated section of the road.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the roadworks, which began on Sunday, are expected to disrupt traffic for motorists travelling from Fadeyi towards the Apapa-Oshodi Expressway, Gbagada and other adjoining routes.

The affected section has reportedly been in poor condition for some time, with persistent rainfall worsening the damage despite repeated asphalt repairs.
Providing an update from the site, a citizen journalist said the Lagos State Government had adopted a more permanent solution by excavating the damaged portion of the road and replacing the asphalt with interlocking stones.
According to him, the new approach is expected to provide a more durable road surface capable of withstanding heavy rainfall.
He noted that the ongoing construction would make it difficult for motorists travelling from Fadeyi to connect to the Apapa-Oshodi Expressway or Gbagada through Anthony Village.
Drivers approaching the area through the service lane were advised to remain on the main expressway and connect to their destinations through alternative routes.
Motorists travelling from Oshodi towards Anthony and Ikorodu Road were also warned to expect delays due to the ongoing works.
The road user further advised motorists heading for the Gbagada Expressway from Fadeyi to take the Pedro route instead of passing through Anthony Village.
He added that the rehabilitation work is expected to continue for about one week, urging road users to plan their journeys ahead and avoid the affected corridor where possible to minimise traffic delays.
