Nigerian singer Niniola has announced the release of a new extended play titled Without You, dedicated to her late husband, Michael.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the singer revealed that the four-track project will be released on Friday, August 21, three months after the death of her husband.

Niniola made the announcement in an emotional Instagram post, reflecting on the pain of losing Michael and the memories they shared.
According to the singer, the date marked three months since his passing and was one she could not simply allow to pass without remembering him.
She explained that Without You was created from a place of love and loss, with music allowing her to express emotions that words could not fully capture.
“Three months without you, Michael. Hmmmm…. Where do I begin? Some dates are impossible to simply pass,” she wrote.
Niniola said she was remembering her late husband not only because of the absence he left behind, but also because of the love, memories, music and life they shared.
She described the EP as a tribute born from that love and grief, adding that the songs were created during one of the most difficult periods of her life.
The singer said the project carries stories and emotions that could not be completely expressed through ordinary words.
She further revealed that the EP is dedicated to Michael, herself and everyone who has had to find the strength to continue living after experiencing loss.
“Today, I remember! On Friday the 21st of August, I share ‘Without You’, the EP, with the world. For Michael, for Niniola. For everyone who has ever had to find a way to keep going,” she added.
The release follows Niniola’s recent return to music with Raining (O Dun Mi), which she also presented as a tribute to her late husband.
Through Without You, the singer appears to be using music as a means of processing grief while preserving memories of her relationship with Michael.
The EP is expected to give fans a deeper insight into her personal experience of loss and the emotions surrounding the months following her husband’s death.
