His Royal Majesty, Oba Tajudeen Adebanjo Afolabi Elemoro, the Onitejo of Oke-Odo, Iwerekun Elemoro, has passed away.

Eko Hot Blog reports that the monarch reportedly joined his ancestors yesterday, leaving the people of Iwerekun Elemoro, the traditional institution and the wider Ibeju-Lekki community mourning his death.
Oba Elemoro was recognised as a custodian of the culture and traditions of his people, with his reign associated with efforts towards peace, unity and development in the community.
His death has triggered mourning among residents, traditional stakeholders and members of the royal family, as the community comes to terms with the loss of its monarch.
The 10th Legislative Council of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government expressed grief over the passing, describing it as a significant loss to Oke-Odo, Iwerekun Elemoro and the entire Ibeju-Lekki community.
In a condolence message signed by the Leader of the Legislative Council, Hon. Olayinka Mojeed Oluwafemi, on behalf of the councillors, the council extended its sympathy to the royal family, subjects of the late monarch and other affected persons.
The council prayed for the peaceful repose of the monarch’s soul and for strength and fortitude for the royal family and his subjects to bear the loss.
