- Ladoja says Tinubu is president of all Nigerians
- He praised the Ibadan-Ijebu Road project for improving security and connectivity
- The monarch said Tinubu’s performance could boost the APC’s electoral chances
The Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Rasheed Ladoja, has praised President Bola Tinubu’s administration, saying the President should be assessed as a national leader rather than solely through the lens of his All Progressives Congress (APC) affiliation.
Eko Hot Blog reports that Ladoja made the remarks on Monday during the flag-off ceremony for the dualisation of the Ibadan-Ijebu Road in Ogun State.
The monarch stressed that the event was not an APC political gathering but an occasion to appreciate Tinubu for approving the long-awaited road project, which he said would improve transportation, security and economic activities in the region.
Ladoja noted that the road had previously been associated with security challenges, including incidents of kidnapping, making its reconstruction particularly important to residents and travellers.

He said Tinubu should be recognised as the President of all Nigerians and not merely as the leader of a political party.
According to the monarch, the President’s performance could have political consequences for the APC, particularly as Nigerians prepare for future elections.
He argued that opposition parties seeking to defeat the ruling party would need to convince voters that they could provide better alternatives.
Ladoja also expressed confidence that residents of Ibadan would ultimately make their political decision based on their assessment of the candidates and their performance.

He said the road project demonstrated the potential benefits of government investment in infrastructure and expressed appreciation to Tinubu for approving its execution.
The Olubadan maintained that Tinubu’s record should not be dismissed because of political differences, adding that the President’s policies and projects would likely influence voters when elections arrive.
