He explained that the ordeal initially left him paralysed, and despite medical intervention at Island Hospital, his condition worsened, prompting those around him to contact his family.
“My senior brother in Osogbo brought me to him, and he immediately took me to an Islamic cleric for help. It was a serious attack. I became crippled, couldn’t talk or stand, and only started walking with crutches hours after receiving spiritual items from the cleric,” Okemesi recounted.
He added that his brother also faced challenges following the incident, including an accident and personal crises, which forced Okemesi to leave his brother’s home. Since then, he has been living on church premises without a stable place to sleep or sufficient means to support himself.

Calling on his fans for support, Okemesi said, “I don’t have a place to sleep, I don’t have anything. It’s even difficult to feed. My fans, you are the only thing left for me. Please, I need your help to get back on my feet, especially with accommodation.”
Tony Montana, who conducted the interview, expressed sadness over the actor’s situation, highlighting the urgent need for support from friends, well-wishers, and the public.
Okemesi’s appeal underscores the struggles faced by some entertainers behind the scenes and serves as a call for community support in times of personal crisis.
