Otunba Olusegun Agbaje, PhD,the commissioner III Teaching service commission, has congratulated Oba Adeleke Ayinde Nasir on his historic installation and presentation of the Staff of Office as the Alagasa of Lagasa, Ibeju-Lekki, describing the development as a significant milestone for the people of the community.
Eko Hot Blog reports that in a congratulatory message to the new monarch, Agbaje expressed his heartfelt wishes to Oba Adeleke Ayinde Nasir on his ascension to the throne of his forebears, while praying for a peaceful, prosperous and impactful reign.
Agbaje described the traditional institution as an important pillar of peace, unity, cultural preservation and community development, expressing optimism that the new reign would usher in a new chapter of progress for Lagasa and the wider Ibeju-Lekki community.
He said, “Kabiyesi, Ki ade pe lori, ki bata pe lese! I heartily congratulate Your Royal Majesty, Oba Adeleke Ayinde Nasir, on your historic installation and presentation of Staff of Office as the Alagasa of Lagasa, Ibeju-Lekki.”
He noted that the monarch’s ascension to the throne of his forebears was a testament to his wisdom, integrity and service to the people.
According to him, “This ascension to the throne of your forebears is a testament to your wisdom, integrity and service to the people. We pray that your reign brings peace, unity and unprecedented development to Lagasa and Ibeju-Lekki as a whole.”
Agbaje further prayed for divine wisdom, strength and good health for the monarch as he assumes the responsibilities of leading the people of Lagasa.
He expressed confidence that Oba Adeleke Ayinde Nasir would use his position to promote peace, unity and prosperity while working with stakeholders towards the advancement of the community.
Describing the monarch’s emergence as a new dawn for Lagasa, Agbaje said, “Your emergence marks a new dawn for Lagasa. We pray for wisdom, strength and good health for you as you lead our people to peace, unity and prosperity.”
He also emphasised the need for the people of Lagasa to support the new traditional administration, noting that collective cooperation and unity would be essential to achieving meaningful development.
Agbaje prayed that the monarch’s reign would leave behind a lasting legacy of peace, progress, unity and prosperity.
He said, “We pray that your reign ushers in development, unity and prosperity for Lagasa and the entire Ibeju-Lekki Kingdom. Lagasa is blessed to have you.”
He further prayed for a long, peaceful and impactful reign for the new Alagasa, asking God to continue to guide and strengthen him in the discharge of his traditional responsibilities.
“May your tenure be long, peaceful and impactful. May you reign with the guidance of the ancestors and the blessings of God,” Agbaje prayed.
