EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai launched the mission on the directive of the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke. The operation was confirmed in a statement issued on Wednesday, November 19, by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame.
Ejodame said the airstrikes were informed by a series of intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions tracking insurgent activities following the October 17 ambush at Kashomri. According to him, sustained monitoring of the Kashomri area and the broader Sambisa axis revealed “suspicious terrorist activity” and active command and logistics structures operating from Arra.
“Based on this intelligence, NAF aircraft engaged the designated targets through coordinated and successive attack runs,” Ejodame said.
He confirmed that all identified targets were destroyed, adding that the operation significantly weakened the terrorists’ capacity to plan and launch further attacks. “The strikes destroyed identified structures, disrupted their command systems, and dismantled their logistics network,” he stated.
Ejodame said the latest operation reflects the military’s commitment to safeguarding the country and supporting ground forces across various theatres of operation. He noted that the Air Force remains focused on neutralising threats and reinforcing nationwide security efforts.

“The Air Force will continue to neutralise threats, defend Nigeria’s territory, and support ongoing efforts to secure lasting peace,” he added.
