According to him, while differing views are expected in a democracy, his government will not lose focus on its core mandate of improving the economy and strengthening national development.
Tinubu also stressed the importance of constructive opposition, noting that credible dissent plays a key role in deepening democracy and supporting national progress.
Addressing concerns around the amended Electoral Act, the President defended the process, explaining that the legislation went through due procedures at the National Assembly, including public consultations before its passage.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to credible elections and national unity.
Reflecting on his Renewed Hope Agenda, Tinubu admitted that reforms have not been easy but described them as necessary steps toward long-term growth.

He expressed confidence in the country’s economic direction, pointing to improvements in the oil and gas sector, as well as ongoing efforts to boost electricity supply, including plans to increase generation capacity by an additional 1,500 megawatts.
The President also highlighted his administration’s focus on inclusivity, promising expanded opportunities for young people and greater representation for women in governance.
He emphasised that empowering youths and women remains central to building a more inclusive and functional system.
At the convention, the party adopted a consensus approach for selecting its officials and ratified reports from various congresses held at ward, local government, state, and zonal levels.
In a moment of reflection, Tinubu paid tribute to former President Muhammadu Buhari, describing him as a dedicated leader who served the country with commitment.
He also commended Aminu Bello Masari, Chairman of the National Convention Planning Committee, for the successful organisation of the event.
