EKO HOT BLOG reports that the highest decisions making political body in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), has refuted the news going around that it had endorsed anyone as the party’s candidate in the forthcoming senatorial election for Lagos West Senatorial District.
There have been reports that the GAC has endorsed the candidacy of a female former Deputy Governor of the state for the office.
The current occupier of the seat, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola though seeking reelection, is doing so from the Ogun West Senatorial District.
The group has not done anything of such, “at least not to the best of my knowledge”, a top member of the GAC told Thegazellenews.

Inside sources from the GAC indicated that it is only former Nigerian Hgh Commissioner to Ghana, Senator Musiliu Olatunde Obanikoro who has indicated his intention to contest the Lagos West Senatorial District on the platform of the ruling party.
However, there are indications that the trio of former Commissioner for Transport in the state, Dr Kayode Opeifa; Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire and Dr Idiat Oluranti Adebule, both former Deputy Governors of the state are also interested.
