The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced a revision of its timetable for the National Assembly primary elections in Zamfara State, adjusting key dates for the selection of candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a statement issued on Saturday by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the APC said the House of Representatives primaries will now take place on Monday, May 18, 2026, while the Senate primaries have been shifted to Tuesday, May 19, 2026, Eko Hot Blog gathered.

The party, however, maintained that other schedules remain unchanged, with the House of Assembly primaries still fixed for Wednesday, May 20, 2026, and the governorship primaries slated for Thursday, May 21, 2026.
It also confirmed that the presidential primary election will hold as earlier scheduled on Monday, May 23, 2026.
Although no official reason was given for the latest adjustment, the APC had previously indicated that earlier changes to its timetable were made for logistical considerations.

The statement further outlined dates for appeals arising from the primaries. Appeals from the House of Representatives elections will be heard on Tuesday, May 19, followed by Senate appeals on Wednesday, May 20.
Appeals relating to the House of Assembly primaries are scheduled for Thursday, May 21, while governorship primary appeals will take place on Friday, May 22.
The party had earlier postponed its House of Representatives primary by one day, moving it from May 15 to May 16, while retaining the rest of the schedule.
The APC said the adjustments are aimed at ensuring smoother coordination of the nomination process across all levels.
