Before her passing, Fayose had openly spoken about the severity of her wife’s illness, revealing that he travelled to Australia to be with his family during her treatment.
He explained that her condition had deteriorated significantly, leaving her extremely weak and unable to speak or carry out basic daily activities.
According to him, the woman who once welcomed him at the airport was no longer able to do so, forcing him to find his way from the airport by Uber upon arrival.
Fayose further described how their roles had reversed at home, saying he had to take over caregiving responsibilities, including cooking and attending to her daily needs as her condition worsened.

In his reflection, Fayose spoke about life and wealth, noting that money and material possessions cannot prevent illness or death. He also questioned the actions of individuals who use public office for personal gain.
The family has not yet announced funeral arrangements as of the time of this report.
