According to a statement from Jubril Idris, the Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman of Eredo LCDA, all road users and members of the public are being strictly advised to exercise maximum caution and avoid the vicinity entirely to prevent a potential catastrophe.
Emergency responders, including the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service and the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), are expected to coordinate the delicate transloading and recovery operations.
In the meantime, motorists and commuters are being redirected to seek alternative routes to ensure their safety while the volatile scene is managed.
This latest accident has sparked heightened anxiety among students and residents of the Noforija community, especially given the harrowing string of fatal incidents that have plagued the Epe corridors in recent days.
The region has seen a devastating spike in road tragedies and fire disasters this month alone.

Just last Saturday, March 21, a massive gas tanker explosion at Sangotedo along the Lekki-Epe Expressway claimed two lives after a speeding tipper truck rammed into a stationary tanker, resulting in an inferno that destroyed ten shops and three warehouses.
This followed another tragedy on Monday night, March 23, when four people were killed in a horrific crash on the nearby Ijebu-Ode–Ore Expressway involving a Toyota Hiace bus and a stationary construction truck.
The carnage on these routes has been relentless, with another fatality and three injuries reported at the Aiyetoro Junction earlier in March, as well as a separate collision near Beechwood that resulted in four deaths when a passenger was crushed by an articulated vehicle.
Given this dangerous pattern of secondary explosions and fatal collisions, authorities are pleading with the public to stay far away from the fallen tanker at LASUED and to refrain from using any potential ignition sources, such as mobile phones or lighters, near the wreckage.
