Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying the President inherited enormous challenges from the administration of late former President Muhammadu Buhari and has been working to stabilise the country.
Eko Hot Blog reports that Fayose while speaking during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Monday night, said Tinubu may not be a perfect leader, but has shown commitment and determination in addressing the nation’s challenges since assuming office.

According to the former governor, Nigeria’s situation was significantly worse when Buhari left office, leaving the current administration with difficult economic and security realities to manage.
Fayose argued that Tinubu effectively inherited the consequences of the previous administration and has had to confront the challenges head-on rather than distance himself from them.
“Tinubu is not a perfect person, but he has given his best. Things were worse at the exit of Buhari,” Fayose said.
He added that the President had remained focused despite mounting pressures and criticism, noting that insecurity was being used by some critics in a manner similar to what happened during the final days of former President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration.
Fayose maintained that while the country still faces significant challenges, the Tinubu administration deserves recognition for its efforts to address inherited problems and steer the nation towards stability.

The former governor’s comments come amid growing political debates over the performance of the current administration, particularly on issues of security, economic reforms and governance.
