According to him, some of his neighbours identified simply as Emeka, Paul Oke, Papa Onyeyinchi, Papa David, Mama Favour, and Mama Anah were allegedly complicit in the abduction and also led a group of hoodlums into his home in his absence.
He claimed that the suspects accused his teenage son of stealing a phone within the community and subsequently invited armed cultists, who raided his residence, vandalised his property, and laid ambush for him with the intent to harm him.

“The situation has become life-threatening. These individuals not only took my son but also destroyed my home while searching for the alleged missing phone. My life and that of my family are now in danger,” Igbokwe lamented.
The businessman urged the police authorities to intervene swiftly to ensure the safe return of his son and to bring the perpetrators to justice.
As of press time, efforts to reach the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for confirmation were unsuccessful. However, sources within the Iba Division said the matter had been reported and investigations were ongoing.
