Former Big Brother Naija Season Six housemate Ikechukwu Okonkwo, popularly known as Cross, has openly discussed the specific qualities that led him to choose his fiancée as his lifelong partner.
Eko Hot Blog gathered that in an interview with Saturday Beats, Cross shared that he first met his fiancée at a church in Abuja. He considers her deep spirituality one of her most important qualities.

“I love the fact that she’s very sweet, calm, and calculated,” Cross said. “She has a very big heart and loves God deeply. She can pray and fast, and that’s a quality I’ve always wanted in a woman.”
Cross feels confident that his fiancée, whom he likens to his own mother, is a capable woman who would look after his home and family if he were unable to. He also praised her inner and outer beauty and her willingness to listen.
He cited a time two years ago when he advised her to go into the tech field, and she is now doing very well in that career.
He detailed their first meeting outside the church. While sitting in a car with his sister and a friend, he spotted his fiancée standing outside. He pointed out the “tall girl” and her beauty, and with a nudge from his friend, the “shy boy went over to greet her,” leading them to exchange numbers.
Cross strongly believes their relationship is divinely orchestrated. He recalled having a dream when he was younger that showed the woman he would marry, describing her as tall, beautiful, and light-skinned.
He feels his fiancée embodies all those features. He explained that after years of dating other women, only meeting her brought his spirit a unique sense of peace and calmness.
He further revealed that an encounter with God last year solidified his belief, as he saw her spirit in heaven, confirming that “God has ordained” their union.
Reflecting on his past relationships, Cross admitted they often failed due to his own lack of patience, communication, and spiritual grounding. He emphasized that he now understands the crucial importance of communication and setting boundaries to avoid disrespect.
Most importantly, he noted that he now centers his relationship on God, which makes everything more peaceful.
