The Chairman and CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has congratulated the Director-General of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Abdulhamid Salihu Dembos, and the Managing Director of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Ali Mohammed Ali, on the renewal of their appointments for a second three-year term.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the renewals were announced by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Information and Strategy.

Dembos and Ali, who were first appointed on October 20, 2023, will begin their second three-year tenure on October 20, 2026.
In a congratulatory message issued by NiDCOM’s Head of Media, Public Relations and Protocols, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, Dabiri-Erewa described the reappointments as a vote of confidence in the two media executives.
She said their leadership had contributed to projecting Nigeria’s image both within the country and internationally, including among millions of Nigerians living in the diaspora.
Dabiri-Erewa said their continued leadership would help sustain credible and far-reaching coverage of national issues, including matters concerning Nigerians in the diaspora.

She also commended the two media executives for their experience and commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s state-owned media organisations amid efforts to modernise operations and expand their digital reach.
The NiDCOM chairman wished Dembos and Ali success as they begin their second terms in office and continue their service to the country.
