The Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has congratulated Nigerian-born entrepreneur and technology leader, Olubukola Moyo Babajide, on her appointment as a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) by His Majesty King Charles III.

She is the founder of Crystal Options Ltd. and Female Techpreneur, organisations focused on innovation, entrepreneurship and empowering women in technology.
In a congratulatory message, Dabiri-Erewa described the honour as a fitting recognition of excellence, innovation and impactful leadership, noting that Babajide’s achievements continue to project Nigeria positively on the global stage.
According to the NiDCOM boss, Babajide’s recognition reflects the resilience, brilliance and positive contributions of Nigerians living abroad.
“Bukola Babajide’s recognition with the MBE is a testament to the resilience, brilliance and positive impact of Nigerians across the world. Through her work in technology, entrepreneurship and advocacy for greater inclusion, she has demonstrated the values of hard work, innovation and service that continue to distinguish Nigerians globally,” Dabiri-Erewa said.

She added that the award highlights the significant role Nigerians in the diaspora continue to play in driving economic growth, technological advancement and social development in their countries of residence while maintaining strong connections with Nigeria.
Dabiri-Erewa also commended Babajide for serving as an inspiration to young Nigerians, especially women and aspiring entrepreneurs, encouraging them to pursue excellence and create meaningful impact in society.
She expressed confidence that the honour would motivate more Nigerians in the diaspora to contribute positively to their communities and support Nigeria’s development.
The NiDCOM chairman wished Babajide greater success in her future endeavours and applauded her for bringing pride to Nigeria through her accomplishments.
