The Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has expressed deep sorrow over the sudden death of a US-based Nigerian doctor, Dr. Uzoma Nwaubani.
Eko Hot Blog gathered that Dr. Nwaubani reportedly passed away while on a medical mission in Abia State, where she had travelled as part of a humanitarian outreach.

In a statement issued by the Commission’s Director of Media, Public Relations and Protocols, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, Dabiri-Erewa described the incident as a painful loss, not only to the doctor’s family but also to Nigeria.
She noted that the late physician was an active and committed member of the Association of Nigerian Physicians in the Americas, known for her dedication to giving back to her home country through medical missions and community service.
According to reports, Dr. Nwaubani developed a medical emergency during the outreach programme. Despite efforts by a team of medical professionals to revive her, she did not survive.

Dabiri-Erewa offered prayers for the repose of her soul and asked God to grant her family, friends, and colleagues the strength to bear the loss.
She described the late doctor’s contributions as impactful, noting that her commitment to service and humanity would not be forgotten.
