- Music executive and talent manager Ubi Franklin has announced that singer Davido, his wife Chioma Adeleke (Chef Chi), and the Adeleke family are preparing to take legal action against organized groups of online trolls.
- Franklin revealed the existence of private group chats where “evil” and “disturbing” messages were being circulated to coordinate harassment against the couple, their management, and their relatives.
- Emphasizing that the conduct has crossed the line from celebrity criticism to criminal harassment, Franklin stated that law enforcement would be involved to ensure those responsible explain their actions in court.
The Adeleke family is drawing a line in the sand against digital harassment by letting critics know that they will be sued if care is not taken.
Eko Hot Blog reports that Ubi Franklin, acting as Chioma Adeleke’s manager, issued a stern warning on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, via X (formerly Twitter), stating that the days of consequence-free trolling are over.

Franklin noted that the family has been monitoring multiple online communities and private group chats dedicated to bullying Chioma and Davido. “One after the other, you will explain to law enforcement what Chef Chi has done to all of you,” Franklin wrote.

He urged the public to stop dismissing these coordinated attacks as “standard celebrity criticism,” labeling them instead as a targeted campaign of hate.
Chioma has frequently been the subject of social media scrutiny, often caught in the crossfire of fan rivalries between Davido and other industry giants like Wizkid.
