Defection: APC Welcomes Eno, Assures Cooperation
- Akwa Ibom Governor Umo Eno has defected from PDP to APC.

National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has welcomed Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom state to the party.
EKO HOT BLOG earlier reported that Eno officially announced his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the APC on Friday.

Eno made this known during an official announcement at the Government House in Uyo, the state capital.

In reaction to this, the ruling party assured the Akwa-Ibom Governor of its cooperation and accommodation.
The APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka disclosed this in a statement released on the party’s official X handle.
This statement read, “The National Working Committee of All Progressives Congress (APC) under the leadership of His Excellency, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, CON, is delighted at the news of the Governor of Akwa Ibom state, His Excellency, Umo Eno’s decision to join our great Party.
“We are confident that his thoughtful decision will inure to the greater progress of Akwa Ibom state and its people.
“Our great Party assures the Governor of its fullest cooperation and accommodation in the APC family, as we continue to grow the Party and work together towards the full realisation of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for the good and benefit of all Nigerians.”
