The Elect Kadir Obafemi Hamzat Initiative (E-KOH) has successfully held its inaugural Lagos East Senatorial District Townhall Meeting at the Eredo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) Secretariat in Epe, Lagos State, bringing together party leaders, support groups, coordinators, volunteers, and political stakeholders in a renewed drive to strengthen grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Eko Hot Blog reports that the well-attended meeting attracted members of the E-KOH State Executive Team, the Lagos East Directorate, Local Government and LCDA coordinators, volunteers, and stakeholders from Epe and Ikorodu divisions, providing a platform for strategic discussions on political participation, organisational growth, voter education, and grassroots engagement.
Welcoming participants, the Director of E-KOH Lagos East Senatorial District, Prince Adémólá Adétólá, appreciated the State Executive Team for extending the initiative to the district, describing the townhall as the beginning of a stronger and more coordinated grassroots movement.
“The success of this initiative depends on our unity, dedication, and commitment to taking our message to every ward and polling unit across Lagos East. Together, we will build a structure capable of delivering victory for our party.”
The Coordinator of E-KOH Initiative in Eredo LCDA, Hon. Alhaji Ademago Abolore, expressed appreciation to party leaders, volunteers, coordinators, and supporters for their massive turnout and pledged that Eredo LCDA would continue to play a leading role in expanding the initiative across the grassroots.
In his keynote address, the Director General of the E-KOH Initiative, Liberty Badmus, reaffirmed the movement’s commitment to building a formidable grassroots network ahead of the forthcoming elections.
“The strength of every successful political movement lies at the grassroots. Every coordinator and volunteer must engage communities, educate first-time voters, strengthen polling unit structures, and ensure that no eligible voter is left behind.”
He charged members to intensify mobilisation in support of the re-election of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the election of Dr. Kadir Obafemi Hamzat as the next Governor of Lagos State, Princess Damilola Sonayon James as Deputy Governor, and all candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Chairman of Eredo LCDA, Hon. Monsuru Akinloye, ably represented by his vice, commended the organisers for creating a platform that promotes political awareness and grassroots participation.
He urged members to remain focused, united, and committed to the ideals of the APC, noting that sustained engagement with residents would further strengthen public confidence in the party.
The Vice Chairman of Eredo LCDA, Hon. Lateef Adesanya, also encouraged members to remain disciplined and consistent in their mobilisation efforts.
“Our collective strength lies in teamwork and unity. When we work together with one purpose, victory becomes inevitable.”
Speaking during his goodwill message and later in an interview with journalists, the Member representing Epe Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Abiodun Tobun, praised E-KOH and other APC support groups for complementing the efforts of the party through continuous grassroots mobilisation and voter education.
“Support groups have become an indispensable part of our political success because they take the message of good governance directly to the people. Their commitment and sacrifices continue to strengthen the APC across Lagos State.”
He urged all eligible voters to come out en masse during the 2027 general elections to support all APC candidates.
“I encourage every eligible voter to participate actively in the electoral process. Let us remain united, continue engaging our people peacefully, and work collectively to sustain the developmental achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu while ensuring the emergence of Dr. Kadir Obafemi Hamzat as the next Governor of Lagos State.”
An Apex Leader in Eredo LCDA, Dr. Hon. Afolabi, described unity as the foundation of every successful political movement and encouraged members to remain loyal to the party while working tirelessly to expand its support base.
Similarly, the Leader of the House, Eredo LCDA, Hon. Tunde Bakare Olowo, commended the initiative for bringing together committed party faithful and charged coordinators to intensify grassroots engagement, voter education, and community outreach across every ward.
Also addressing the gathering, the Member representing Epe Constituency II in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Sylvester Ogunkelu (Sketel), ably represented,encouraged young people and party supporters to remain actively involved in the democratic process, stressing that unity, commitment, and effective mobilisation would guarantee another resounding victory for the APC.
The Director-General of the Tinubu-Hamzat Epe Division Solidarity Front (THEDSF), Comrade Giwa Moshood Olasupo, emphasized that APC support groups exist to complement one another and should never be viewed as competitors.
“Support groups are not rivalry groups. We all belong to one political family with one common objective, which is the success of the APC and its candidates. When support groups collaborate instead of competing, the party becomes stronger and our grassroots structure becomes more effective.”
He called on members of various support groups to continue promoting unity, mutual respect, discipline, and collaboration while intensifying voter education and showcasing the achievements of APC-led governments across the Federal, State, and Local Government levels.
The meeting concluded with renewed commitment from participants to expand the E-KOH Initiative throughout the Lagos East Senatorial District, strengthen polling unit structures, deepen grassroots mobilisation, and work collectively toward ensuring victory for all APC candidates in the 2027 general elections.
The E-KOH Initiative also congratulated the Director of E-KOH Lagos East Senatorial District, Prince Adémólá Adétólá, and the entire Lagos East leadership for the successful hosting of the inaugural townhall meeting, describing it as another significant step towards building a stronger grassroots movement for a smarter Lagos and a greater Nigeria.
