- Edo Government Arrests Pastor Over Alleged S3xual Abuse of Two Sisters

The founder of Rollo Life of Christ Brethren Ministry in Benin, Bishop Gideon Osagie Osazee, has been arrested by the Edo State Government over allegations of s3xual abuse involving two sisters.
Eko Hot Blog reports that authorities reported that the sisters were aged 13 and 17 at the time of the alleged incidents. In addition, four other girls have reportedly come forward with similar allegations, which Osazee has denied.

Officials said the arrest followed several days of surveillance by the state government.
The elder sister, now 21, told investigators that the alleged abuse occurred while she was asleep and that she later realised the perpetrator was her pastor. She claimed she was threatened not to report the incident. The younger sister said she was only 13 at the time of the alleged abuse.
Osazee has denied the allegations, claiming that he had a consensual relationship with the elder sister, whom he alleged told him she was 21, and said he intended to marry her.
Edo State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Eugene Abdullah, confirmed that other children from the church have also reported incidents of s3xual harassment by Osazee. She stated that the case would be handed over to the Criminal Investigation Department of the Edo State Police Command for prosecution.
Faith Edebor of the Vivian S3xual Assault Referral Centre noted that preliminary investigations have corroborated the accounts provided by the victims.
