Job Summary
MBIS International is looking to recruit a qualified Early Years Educator to join its Early Years department. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in early childhood education and a thorough understanding of the British Curriculum.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills Required
- A minimum qualification of B.Ed, BA, BSc, or PGDE in English, Early Childhood Education, or a related field from a reputable university.
- Diploma or certificate in Montessori Education is an added advantage.
- Minimum of three (3) years post-qualification experience, with hands-on experience in the British Curriculum.
- Must be resident in Ibadan and live within commuting distance of Jericho, Ibadan.
- Proficiency in teaching phonics or a willingness to learn.
- Ability to teach early mathematics and literacy using effective teaching strategies.
- Competence in supporting handwriting skill development for young learners.
- Must possess creative skills in music, dance, drama, art, and crafts.
- Excellent English language skills (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Strong computer literacy, with proficiency in MS Word and internet usage to support learning.
- Effective classroom management and teaching skills.
- Ability to engage children and extend their learning through play-based activities.
- Creativity and innovation in lesson planning to meet the individual learning needs of students.
- Ability to create and maintain high-standard classroom displays appropriate for young learners.
- Competence in developing stimulating indoor and outdoor learning environments to promote independent learning.
- A strong understanding of safeguarding principles in education.
- Demonstrated high standards of personal and professional conduct.
- Patience, a sense of humor, and stamina to keep up with the energy of young children.
