On Monday, November 3, 2025, the Odi Olowo Ojuwoye Local Council Development Area, Ilupeju, Lagos, came alive with medical activities as residents both young and old joined the Chairman, Hon. Seyi Jakande, members of the council association, representatives from Eko Club International, the medical team, and members of the press to mark the beginning of a transformative three day medical outreach in Lagos State.

The outreach, organised by Eko Club International in collaboration with the Chairman of the community, Hon. Seyi Jakande, underscores a strong dedication to community health and general wellbeing. Eko Club International is an organisation for Lagosians in the diaspora, with its chapters actively contributing to social development projects across the state.
Leading the initiative are Hon. Dr. Lola Ogbara Alogba, Hon. Wunmi Isiotan, and Hon. Deji Ajiboye, with the aim of improving community wellness and access to essential healthcare.

The event commenced with a press conference that brought together key stakeholders, including the council Chairman, Hon. Deji Ajiboye, President of Eko Club International, and other local council representatives.
In his address to the press, the council boss praised Eko Club International for their unwavering commitment to improving community health. He announced that the outreach would provide medical services to approximately 1,000 residents, affirming that the initiative is specifically designed to serve the core residents of the local council.

He emphasised that the programme aligns with his administration’s HEWA Agenda, which focuses on improving Health, Education, Water, and Agriculture within the community.
“This initiative is designed to cater for the core residents of Odi Olowo Ojuwoye Local Council,” he stated.
“This speaks to our commitment to bringing accessible healthcare to those who need it the most, as laid out in my HEWA Agenda. This is part of the reason I partnered with Eko Club International to bring our plan to fruition,” he added.

Furthermore, the Chairperson of the Medical Mission Outreach, Hon. Wunmi Isiotan, welcomed attendees and emphasised the shared commitment of the organisation to making a positive impact on community health.
“Our medical mission outreach is a beacon of hope to those in need, and we are honoured to have you all here to witness this kick off,” she stated.

Hon. Wunmi Isiotan announced the rollout of the three day healthcare initiative across Lagos State, beginning in Odi Olowo Ojuwoye, and emphasised the mission’s goal of reaching underserved communities, reaffirming the team’s dedication to improving public health across the state.
Hon. Deji Ajiboye, President of Eko Club International, commended the Executive Chairman for his leadership and commitment to his constituents, noting that the partnership between diaspora led organisations and local councils is crucial to addressing healthcare gaps.


He reaffirmed that Eko Club International’s mission in Nigeria is to make a meaningful and positive impact on the lives of everyday citizens through access to quality healthcare.
“The state government cannot do everything,” Ajiboye stated, calling for stronger collaboration between public institutions and private stakeholders.





The Free Medical Outreach featured health education, free medication, dental checks, vision screening with free eyeglasses, malaria testing, cancer screening, general medical consultations, and other health interventions.
Residents of Odi Olowo Ojuwoye expressed deep appreciation to the organisers of the outreach, Eko Club International and the Odi Olowo Ojuwoye Local Council, highlighting the significant impact of the initiative on their health and wellbeing. Many described the outreach as a timely and transformative effort that addressed critical healthcare needs within the community.
