- New evidence confirms that David Blaine filmed parts of his 2013 ABC special, “Real or Magic,” inside Jeffrey Epstein’s New York City townhouse.
- DOJ files show dozens of messages between Blaine and Epstein, including invitations to dinners with high-profile figures like Bill Gates and Woody Allen.
- FBI documents reveal that investigators examined David Copperfield’s friendship with Epstein in 2007 to determine if they shared a “predilection for minors.”
- While the files detail extensive socializing and travel to private islands, neither Blaine nor Copperfield has been charged with criminal wrongdoing related to Epstein.
The release of the Justice Department’s Epstein files has cast a new light on the entertainment world, specifically the close relationships between convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and world-famous magicians David Blaine and David Copperfield.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the documents reveal a “give-and-take” friendship where Epstein provided access to elite political and tech circles in exchange for the magicians’ star power at his social gatherings.

A major revelation involves David Blaine’s 2013 magic special.
According to reports, a segment featuring Blaine performing for filmmaker Woody Allen was filmed inside Epstein’s Manhattan home.
Email records show Epstein’s assistant coordinating the shoot, with Blaine allegedly needing to film himself “walking up the stairs and going into the bathroom.”
Furthermore, FBI interviews from 2019 include statements from women who claimed they met Epstein through Blaine or were introduced to Epstein’s inner circle by the magician when they were teenagers.

David Copperfield’s involvement is equally documented through numerous photos taken on Epstein’s private Caribbean island, Little Saint James.
Some images show Copperfield in a bathrobe alongside multiple women, while others feature him with Epstein’s co-conspirator, Ghislaine Maxwell.
Internal FBI memos from 2007 show that the Seattle field office sought to interview witnesses to see if the two men’s relationship involved illegal activities, particularly as Copperfield was facing a separate sexual assault investigation in Washington state at the time (a case that was eventually closed without charges).
The files suggest that Epstein frequently used his connections to help his friends; in 2015, he reportedly asked Blaine to write a reference letter for a woman’s U.S. visa.
While representatives for Blaine and Copperfield have not commented on these latest findings, the documents underscore the extent to which Epstein embedded himself within the highest echelons of the magic and entertainment industries, even years after his initial 2008 conviction.
