Eredo LCDA Chairman Intervenes in Tony Ukah Street Water Issue, Calls for Community Cooperation

- The Executive Chairman of Eredo LCDA, Hon. Monsuru Akinloye, has directed the installation of a solar-powered borehole in Tony Ukah Street, Ìráyè Òkè.
- Hon. Ibrahim Oluseyi, the S.A on Political and Legislative Matters, met with community leaders and the Landlord Association to discuss the project.
- Residents have been asked to provide a suitable location for the project.
In address to water challenges in Tony Ukah Street, Ìráyè Òkè, the Executive Chairman of Eredo LCDA, Hon. Monsuru Akinloye, has taken decisive steps to provide a solar-powered borehole for residents.
Ekohotblog gathers that the chairman, represented by Hon. Ibrahim Oluseyi, the Special Adviser on Political and Legislative Matters, held a meeting with key stakeholders, urging the community to identify a suitable location for the project.

The meeting, which took place at Ìráyè Òkè, had in attendance Mr. Bello, the Joint CDA Chairman, Mr. Olugbenga Mutiu Ibrahim, and members of the Landlord Association, including its secretary.
Hon. Ibrahim Oluseyi, speaking on behalf of the chairman, conveyed the LCDA’s commitment to providing accessible clean water for the residents.
“The Executive Chairman of Eredo LCDA, Hon. Monsuru Akinloye, has directed that this solar-powered borehole be installed as part of his administration’s ongoing efforts to improve basic amenities in our communities.
However, we need the cooperation of residents to provide a suitable location where it can be erected,” he stated.
He further emphasized that the chairman is keen on delivering people-centered projects that directly impact the lives of residents.
“This is not just about water; it’s about improving the quality of life for our people. The LCDA is committed to ensuring that no community is left behind in developmental efforts,” he added.
In response, the Landlord Association appreciated the intervention and pledged to work collectively in selecting a location that would serve the community effectively.
Mr. Bello, the Joint CDA Chairman, noted that the initiative was long overdue and assured the LCDA representatives of full cooperation from residents.

“We appreciate the proactive response from the LCDA. This borehole will be of great benefit to us, and we will ensure that the process of site selection is smooth and transparent,” he said.
The meeting ended with a resolution for community members to identify and propose a suitable spot for the project, after which work will commence.
