Honourable Victor Akande, a former member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, has passed away.

Eko Hot Blog reports that Akande was a lawyer by profession, and he reportedly died on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, due to complications from an auto accident that occurred the previous week in the Ojo area.

He represented Ojo State Constituency I in the Lagos Assembly for two terms, from 2015 to 2023.
Akande was first elected under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2015 but later defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), on whose platform he secured a second term in 2019.

During his time in the Assembly, he served as Chairman of the House Committee on Justice, Human Rights, Public Petitions, and LASIEC.
