Academic activities have fully resumed in the 47 Unity Colleges across Nigeria following the reinforcement of security measures within and around the schools, the Federal Government has announced.
Eko Hot Blog reports that students have returned safely to their campuses, with several colleges currently concluding their December academic programmes, while others have successfully conducted and completed examinations.

The smooth resumption of activities marks a significant step in restoring stability and confidence in the nation’s public secondary school system.
The Federal Ministry of Education has assured parents, guardians and stakeholders that the safety, welfare and well-being of students remain a top priority. According to the Ministry, the reopening of the Unity Colleges followed a comprehensive review of security arrangements and close collaboration with relevant security agencies to ensure a safe learning environment.
The Federal Government reiterated its responsibility to protect every Nigerian child and safeguard their fundamental right to education without fear or disruption. It emphasised that sustained security presence and intelligence coordination will continue to be maintained to prevent future threats and ensure uninterrupted learning.
