Anthony Chiejina, the Group’s Chief Branding and Communication Officer, reassured the public in a statement: “We have promptly contained a minor fire incident at our effluent treatment plant (ETP) today, Wednesday, June 26th. The refinery remains operational, and we are pleased to report that no injuries or harm occurred to any of our diligent staff on duty.”
