According to his media team, they stated that, these claims lacked credible evidence and were likely fabricated to cause confusion.

They emphasized that Fayemi consistently and unwaveringly commits himself to the All Progressives Congress (APC). It highlighted his active role within the party in Ekiti State and his public endorsement of the current governor, Biodun Oyebanji.
The media office clarified that while Fayemi maintains friendships and engages in discussions with people from various political parties to strengthen democracy, people should not misinterpret this as an intention to defect.
Sajoh concluded by reiterating that Fayemi himself would make any decision to leave the APC public.
