FULL LIST: 13 Political Parties Cleared to Contest in Ondo LG Elections

- 13 political parties cleared for Ondo’s 2025 local elections.
- Parties will contest chairmanship and councillorship positions.
- Campaigns run from December 26, 2024, to January 16, 2025.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that Tunde Adeleye, the Commissioner for Communication, Media, and Information Technology, shared the list on Friday in Akure, the state capital.
Adeleye explained that after the screening exercise conducted at ODIEC headquarters on December 27, 2024, a total of 13 political parties were cleared to contest for chairmanship positions in the 18 local government areas (LGAs) and councillorship positions in the 203 wards across the state.

The Commission’s Media Officer, Bisi Lawani, confirmed that the list of cleared political parties was officially released by ODIEC on January 1, 2025.
The list of political parties approved for participation includes:
Action Democratic Party (ADP)
Action People’s Party (APP)
All Progressives Congress (APC)
All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA)
Boot Party (BP)
Labour Party (LP)
New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP)
