Jude Ezenwafor, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for the November 8, 2025 Anambra election, was shot by unidentified gunmen on Friday night, July 18, in Abuja.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the incident reportedly occurred near Wuse 2 as Ezenwafor was heading home from a private engagement.

He sustained multiple bullet wounds and is currently receiving treatment at a private hospital in the Federal Capital Territory.
Doctors are preparing to conduct surgery to remove bullets from his body.
Two other individuals who were with him at the time were also injured and are receiving medical care.
The motive for the attack remains unknown, and no arrests have been made as of the time of filing this report.
The FCT Police Command is yet to release an official statement on the matter.
Ezenwafor, known for his work as a real estate developer in Abuja, secured the PDP ticket earlier this year.
