In the wake of Charlie Kirk and Iryna Zarutska’s murder in the US, two people have lost their lives following a deadly shooting at a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Dallas, Texas.
Eko Hot Blog reports that according to officials on ground, a suspected sniper opened fire from a nearby building, targeting the field office.
Though no ICE personnel were physically harmed, detainees sustained injuries during the attack.
The suspected shooter is reported to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, bringing the total number of deaths to three, including the assailant.
Authorities confirmed that the area has now been secured, and investigations into the motive behind the attack are ongoing.
This is not the first time the Dallas ICE office has faced violence just weeks ago, a man allegedly entered the premises claiming to have an explosive device.
A Homeland Security spokesperson confirmed that shots were fired at both the building and people within the sallyport area a secure location within the ICE facility.
“We can confirm three individuals were shot and two of them died,” the agency stated. “The shooter also died by his own hand.”
In a social media post, U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem expressed deep concern over the rising attacks targeting immigration enforcement agents.
“Our ICE officers are increasingly coming under violent threats,” she said. “This pattern of violence must end.”

Another official, Tricia McLaughlin, emphasized that while ICE staff were unharmed, the shooting did impact detainees.
