It was a day of commendation and appreciation in Ibeju-Lekki Federal Constituency on Thursday, August 7, 2025, as the Federal Lawmaker representing the area in the House of Representatives, Hon. Prince Bayo Balogun, officially presented free lock-up shops to traders and empowered several constituents with tricycles, deep freezers, and a welding machine.

Representing the Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Taxation and Revenue, Hon. AbdulKabir Opeyemi Ogungbo, praised the lawmaker for aligning with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
He described Hon. Balogun as “a lover of development whose commitment to the empowerment of his people remains unmatched.”
Hon. Ogungbo added, “Hon. Bayo Balogun has continued to key into the developmental agenda of Mr. President, which he began in Lagos State and which the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, has consolidated on.
I wish him more opportunities to achieve more for his constituents, as he has promised to extend this to other parts of the Federal Constituency.”
Other dignitaries who sent goodwill messages included APC State Chairman Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi (represented by Hon. Gbenga Balogun), Hon. Wale Raji (Epe Federal Constituency), Hon. Oladele Ajayi (Ibeju-Lekki Constituency II, Lagos State House of Assembly), Chairman of Conference 57 and Ibeju-Lekki LG Chairman Hon. Engr. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa (represented by Chief of Staff Engr. Issa Olayinka), the Onisolu of Solu Alade Kingdom HRM Oba Muhydeen Balogun, APC LGA Chairman Alhaji Alhassan Eletu, and the Baale of Eleko Town Chief Gbadebo Fatau-Labiya.
They all commended Hon. Balogun’s support for his constituents and pledged to back him for a third term in the House of Representatives.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Balogun explained that the free shops, stalls, and empowerment items were aimed at cushioning the impact of the fuel subsidy removal on his constituents.
He stated, “Today’s empowerment is part of the effort of the Federal Government led by our leader and Mr. President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Mr. President doesn’t want Nigerians to continue to suffer, which is why he has mandated every member of the House of Representatives to attract nothing less than one billion naira worth of projects to our constituencies.
Very soon, similar markets will be constructed in Awoyaya and another town in this Constituency.
