The Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, joined dignitaries from across Nigeria to celebrate the 25th coronation anniversary and 80th birthday of His Royal Majesty, Oba Kamorudeen Animashaun, in Epe on Friday.
Ekohotblog reports that the grand event, held at Ogunmodede high School ground on the 22nd of February, 2025, attracted prominent personalities, including the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and his wife, the Deputy Governor, Obafemi Hamzat, traditional rulers, political leaders, and community stakeholders who gathered to honor the respected monarch’s remarkable legacy of leadership and service.

In his congratulatory message, Hon. Olowa praised Oba Kamorudeen Animashaun’s enduring influence and commitment to the development of Epe and its surrounding communities. “Kabiyesi has been a beacon of wisdom and leadership.
His reign has brought progress, unity, and peace to his people. I am honored to celebrate with him today,” Olowa stated.
He further emphasized the monarch’s role in preserving cultural heritage and fostering community growth.
“His Royal Majesty has not only maintained the rich traditions of our people but has also been instrumental in driving socio-economic development. We are grateful for his steadfast leadership,” Olowa added.

Speaking at the event, Governor Sanwo-Olu commended the monarch’s selfless service and his role in enhancing the welfare of his subjects.
“Your reign has been a blessing to Epe and Lagos State as
a whole. You have continued to inspire us with your dedication to peace and progress. We celebrate your legacy and pray for more fruitful years ahead,” Sanwo-Olu said.
