Eko Hot Blog reports that he acknowledged that public perception often shapes narratives but insisted that he would not engage in “petty fights.”
“Rather than engaging in petty fights, I have decided to clear the air by stepping away from the show,” Nedu said.
Addressing claims that he was responsible for controversies on the podcast, Nedu explained that his role was to serve as the ‘devil’s advocate’ to provoke meaningful discussions.
“My job was to ask questions that would spark controversies and debates, which I successfully accomplished,” he stated.
The controversy surrounding the podcast escalated after reality star and comedian, DeeOne, alleged that social media critic, VeryDarkMan (VDM), had intimate relationships with men.
VDM countered by accusing Nedu of leaking private conversations and orchestrating the claims made on the show. Additionally, VDM accused Nedu of sexual exploitation, alleging that Nedu had privately discussed his past relationships.
Amid the backlash, Nedu announced his resignation from the podcast on February 14, leading to speculation that he had been fired. However, he firmly dismissed these rumors, insisting that the decision was his own.
Nedu also announced his intention to withdraw from public accessibility, citing personal reasons and a desire for self-care.
“To be honest, I’m done being nice. My niceness has been taken for granted, and I’ve been abused by people who claim to be my friends,” he expressed.
“I respectfully ask that if you have my number, please delete it. I don’t want to be reachable or accessible anymore.”
In response to the allegations, Nedu’s management team strongly condemned the accusations and announced plans to take legal action.
