The Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, has supervised the successful disbursement of ₦100,000 Conditional Cash Transfer to 200 beneficiaries under the second batch of the council’s social welfare programme.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the exercise, facilitated through Fidelity Bank as the designated banker, targeted vulnerable residents including women, the elderly, and persons with disabilities.

The initiative is in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda and is designed to provide immediate financial relief to households affected by prevailing economic challenges.
Speaking during the disbursement, Hon. Olowa stressed that the process was carried out with transparency and fairness, noting that the administration remains committed to ensuring that support reaches those who need it most.
He said “this cash transfer is a direct intervention to empower our residents and improve their living standards.”
He added that the partnership with Fidelity Bank guarantees seamless and secure access to the funds, as beneficiaries will receive the cash directly into their bank accounts.
Beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the timely intervention, describing it as a much-needed support that will help them meet essential needs.
The Olowa-led administration reaffirmed its commitment to inclusive development, stating that social welfare initiatives will continue to form a core part of the council’s efforts to uplift vulnerable groups and promote shared prosperity across Ibeju-Lekki.
