Yoruba Nation activist, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has given Fulani leaders in Igboho, Oorelope Local Government Area of Oyo State, a two-hour deadline to ensure the release of residents allegedly abducted by kidnappers.

Meanwhile, the Oyo State Police Command confirmed that it had commenced an investigation into the threats contained in the video.

Speaking in Yoruba, Igboho warned that failure to secure the release of the abducted victims within the specified period could trigger unrest in the community.
He accused some members of the Fulani community of being linked to a series of kidnapping incidents in the area, including the recent abduction of a pregnant woman, her sister and a child.
The activist also alleged that kidnappers had previously murdered a pregnant woman and the individual who delivered ransom for her release.
Expressing frustration over the recurring incidents, Igboho said criminal activities would no longer be tolerated in Igboho.

He insisted that his intervention was aimed at protecting all indigenes of the town, regardless of political or ethnic affiliations.
Igboho claimed that the kidnappers had demanded an initial ransom of N300 million before reducing it to N150 million.
He further alleged that security operatives had traced the suspects’ phone numbers and identified the location where the victims were being held within the Baani area of the community.
The activist urged Fulani leaders to mobilise efforts to secure the release of the captives, warning that the community would be held responsible if the victims were harmed.

He also cautioned the Divisional Police Officer serving in the area against any form of collaboration with criminal elements, alleging that security officials must remain impartial in tackling insecurity.
In addition, Igboho accused some residents of Igboho of acting as informants for kidnappers, warning that anyone found aiding the criminals would face severe consequences.
Reacting to the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Oyo State Police Command, CSP Olayinka Ayanlade, said the command had obtained the viral video and had begun reviewing it as part of an ongoing investigation.
According to him, the police are examining the content of the footage before taking further action, but declined to provide additional details on the matter.
