Former U.S. President Joe Biden signs with Creative Artists Agency to shape his post-presidency career.
The move reunites him with CAA, which previously represented him from 2017 to 2020.
No immediate projects announced, but speculation grows over potential books or media ventures.
Former U.S. President Joe Biden has signed with the Los Angeles-based Creative Artists Agency (CAA), signaling a key move in shaping his post-presidency career.
The agreement marks a reunion with CAA, which previously represented Biden from 2017 to 2020.
“President Biden is one of America’s most respected and influential voices in national and global affairs,” said CAA co-chair Richard Lovett in a statement. “His lifelong commitment to public service embodies unity, optimism, dignity, and possibility.
We are profoundly honoured to partner with him again.”
The agency has longstanding ties with political figures, including former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama.
Biden, 82, has not disclosed specific plans for his next chapter but emphasized his continued engagement in public service as he left the White House in January, telling supporters, “We’re leaving office, we’re not leaving the fight.”
Just two weeks after stepping down, there is no confirmation of any new book or media project in the works. However, his previous collaboration with CAA led to the 2017 memoir Promise Me, Dad: A Year of Hope, Hardship, and Purpose, a New York Times bestseller that inspired a nationwide book tour and helped lay the groundwork for his 2020 presidential run.
Since leaving office, Biden has maintained a relatively low profile, spending time at his Delaware home and staying in contact with former aides and associates. He also recently became a great-grandfather following the birth of his granddaughter Naomi’s son.
While CAA is best known for representing Hollywood celebrities, the agency also works with politicians and social advocacy organizations.
The Obamas’ production company, Higher Ground, has partnered with CAA to develop award-winning films and television projects, including the Oscar-winning documentary American Factory.
Similarly, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton signed with CAA for her book projects, including Hard Choices, which detailed her time as America’s top diplomat.
