Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress in Kano State have purchased expression of interest and nomination forms for Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf ahead of the 2027 general elections.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that at the same meeting, stakeholders also endorsed Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the party’s sole presidential candidate for the 2027 elections.
Despite the endorsements, party leaders ruled out automatic tickets for other aspirants, stating that all remaining positions would be determined through internal party processes, particularly consensus arrangements.
Presenting the forms, Ganduje said party leaders in the state had reached a unanimous decision to support Yusuf’s bid for a second term in office.
He said, “We have already agreed that you are our sole governorship candidate and in order to actualise that promise, I, as a former Deputy Governor for eight years, former Governor for eight years and former National
Chairman of our great party, hereby hand over these two important forms to you.”
He explained that the documents presented included both the expression of interest and nomination forms, which must be duly completed and submitted in line with party guidelines.
The motion for the adoption of Tinubu was moved by Rabiu Sulaiman Bichi and received unanimous backing from stakeholders present at the meeting.
Earlier, the Kano State APC Chairman, Umar Haruna Doguwa, disclosed that the party had initially planned to purchase nomination forms for the president as a show of support.

He said, “We wanted to buy a form for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu from Kano, but we saw that some other people bought before us all the same.”
