EKO HOT BLOG reports that as a result of these health concerns, all of King Charles’s scheduled engagements in Birmingham on Friday have been postponed. The palace stated that the King is deeply disappointed about missing the events and hopes to reschedule them. He also extended his apologies to those involved in the preparations.
The palace first announced Charles’s cancer diagnosis in February 2024, though details about his condition have remained limited. The revelation came shortly before Princess Kate disclosed that she was undergoing preventative chemotherapy. While the type and stage of their cancers have not been officially disclosed, Kate recently confirmed that she is now in remission.
In December, a source told NBC News that Charles’s treatment was progressing well, but it is expected to continue into 2025. Despite his health challenges, the King has continued fulfilling his royal duties as much as possible.
