Kwara Mourns as Second Republic Lawmaker Wole Oke Passes Away at 78

Chief Wole Oke, former Minority Leader of the Kwara State House of Assembly in the Second Republic, has passed away at the age of 78.

EKO HOT BLOG gathered that a close associate and former lawmaker, Hon. AbdulMumini Katibi, confirmed Oke’s passing, stating that mourners have gathered at his Fate area residence in Ilorin to pay their respects.

Until his death, Oke was a respected statesman, community leader, and a key figure in the APC Elders Council in Kwara.

Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, expressed deep sorrow over Oke’s passing, describing him as a principled leader who was committed to progressive politics and community development.

The governor extended condolences to the Ohoro of Shao, Oke’s family, and members of the APC, praying for strength and comfort for those mourning the late statesman.
