The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has published the official list of winners of its House of Representatives primary elections, confirming the candidates the party is putting forward for the 2027 general election.
The list was communicated to the APC National Headquarters on Sunday, May 24, and published in national newspapers on Monday, May 25, formally affirming the party’s candidates across all 24 federal constituencies in the state.
EDITOR’S PICKS
The official publication arrives six days after EKO HOT BLOG exclusively reported the full list of all 24 winners on Tuesday, May 19 — before the results entered the public domain.
The report, which named every candidate across every constituency, was obtained from a reliable and well-placed source within the party and subjected to rigorous editorial scrutiny before publication.
Multiple data points in the list were independently verified and cross-checked against known political dynamics in the relevant constituencies. The names, constituencies, and outcomes were confirmed through additional sourcing before the story was cleared for publication. Every fact in that report met the publication’s standard for credibility before it went live.
A comparison of EKO HOT BLOG‘s May 19 report with the APC’s official list shows no discrepancy across any of the 24 federal constituencies. The winners are identical in every seat.

In Ikeja, James Faleke — going for a fifth term and one of the most senior members of the Lagos federal caucus — was reported by EKO HOT BLOG and confirmed by the APC.
In Epe, Wale Raji, seeking a fourth consecutive term, appeared on both lists. Babajimi Benson in Ikorodu and Dolapo Badru in Lagos Island I, both seeking fourth terms, were named in our report and confirmed in the official list.
Mudashiru Obasa, the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly who is making a historic transition to the federal legislature after 23 years in the state assembly, was reported as the Agege winner by EKO HOT BLOG and confirmed by the APC. Dele Osinowo in Kosofe, whose emergence from a disputed primary was reported by reporter, is on the official list.
So are Alli Adeyemi (Mushin I), Fayinka Moses (Mushin II), Laguda Fuad (Surulere I), Okunola Lanre (Surulere II), Atanda Lawal Fuad (Etiosa), Aiyetun Taiwo (Oshodi I), Oloyede Bello (Oshodi II), Alabi Kolade (Shomolu), Olabinjo Benjamin (Ifako Ijaiye), Robert Bolaji Kayode (Ojo), Kalejaiye Paul (Ajeromi Ifelodun), Kayode Akiolu (Lagos Island II), Adebanjo Olabisi (Alimosho), Bayo Balogun (Ibeju Lekki), Onilude Segun (Badagry), Omolaja Adekunle (Lagos Mainland), Olabrewaju Moses (Amuwo Odofin), and Mufutau Egberongbe (Apapa).
All 24 names match.
EKO HOT BLOG responds to critics
The exclusive publication drew criticism from some quarters, particularly from supporters of candidates who lost in certain constituencies, with some alleging that EKO HOT BLOG‘s reporting reflected a bias toward certain candidates.
In a statement, an EKO HOT BLOG spokesperson rejected those claims and said the outlet stands fully by its reporting.
“EKO HOT BLOG is a nonpartisan organisation and we strive every day to present accurate and correct information to our readers without prejudice or bias. We do not have preferred political candidates. Our reporters are trained and encouraged to report on the facts as they see them, regardless of who the subject is,” the statement reads.
“Our report of Tuesday, May 19, 2026, on the list of winners of the All Progressives Congress primary elections for the House of Representatives in Lagos State relied on impeccable and reliable sources within the party. The official list published on Monday by the Lagos APC, which is entirely consistent with our reporting, is a vindication of the rigour that our reports go through.
“EKO HOT BLOG will continue to report the news fairly, accurately, and correctly. We are grateful to our devoted readers for continuing to trust us as their dependable source of news.”
